Twenty-two roses, a couple “I love you’s” and one proposal later, and the first-ever “Golden Bachelor” Gerry Turner is finally ready to say “I do.” After widdling down his prospects one by one each week, the charming 72 year-old widower proposed to Theresa Nist during the season finale, which brought in more than 6.1 million viewers — marking not only a series high, but the most-watched episode of any series in the “Bachelor” since 2021.
The pair will walk down the aisle on on Thursday, Jan. 4. Like the episodes before it, the “Golden Wedding” will air on ABC, with the episode kicking off at 8:00 p.m.
