The cost of living and rise of inflation has seen the price of day-to-day rail tickets nearly double. Concessional railcards have always been available and now shoppers can get them at a discounted price.

Recent data from the Office for National Statistics shows July's Retail Prices Index inflation was 12.3%, which is the highest in nearly 40 years.
