Congratulations are in order for Stephanie Davis who is set to join the cast of Coronation Street later this summer. Having risen to fame thanks to her role as Sinead O’Connor on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, it’s all change for Stephanie as she heads to Weatherfield where she’ll be playing Courtney Vance as part of a steamy affair storyline.
Speaking of the new venture, 30 year old Stephanie explained: “Growing up I have always watched and loved the show, so to be part of the biggest TV soap in Britain, which is in the hearts and homes of so many people, is an honour.” So, as Stephanie prepares to appear on our screens later in July, let’s take a peek at how she has overcome adversity and turned her life around… Talent show success Back in 2010, the soap star got her first slice of showbiz when she appeared on the BBC One talent show Over the Rainbow in which she competed for the chance to star as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.
Despite being eliminated in the fifth week, Stephanie’s career went from strength-to-strength when she secured a role on Hollyoaks that same year.
After being involved in a series of dramatic storylines, the mum-of-one departed the show in 2019. CBB romance But it was during her time on the soap that Stephanie also entered the Celebrity Big Brother house where she met former partner Jeremy McConnell in 2016.The couple entered a relationship and their son Caben was born in 2017 and Jeremy took a paternity test on This Morning which proved that he was the boy's father.
