The St Helens celebrations will have gone long into the night on Saturday after winning their first Challenge Cup in 13 years.
Kristian Woolf’s side beat Castleford Tigers in the blazing Wembley heat 26-12 to finally get their hands on the trophy that had eluded them for so long.
A first-half try from Theo Fages got the Merseysiders off to a good start in front of approximately 45,000 fans, but they needed second half efforts from James Roby, Tommy Makinson and Kyle Amor to see off the Tigers.
The full-time hooter kick-started wild celebrations on the field of play as skipper Roby lifted the trophy for the first time since 2008.
