BBC One is set to captivate audiences with its latest drama offering, The Jetty. Starring Jenna Coleman of Doctor Who fame as Detective Ember Manning, the show is scheduled for release on Monday, July 15, at 9pm.
Described as a "new detective thriller," The Jetty will see Coleman's character, Ember, delve into the mystery of a devastating fire in a picturesque Lancashire lake town.
The plot thickens as it intertwines with a podcast journalist's investigation into a cold case of a missing person and an illicit affair involving a man in his twenties and two underage girls.
The BBC has teased: "As Ember gets close to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life forcing her to re-evaluate everything she thought she knew about her past, present and the town she's always called home. "As much a coming-of-age story as a detective thriller, The Jetty asks big questions about sexual morality, identity and memory, in the places that Me Too has left behind." Joining Jenna Coleman is an impressive ensemble cast featuring Tom Glynn-Carney from House of the Dragon, Archie Renaux of Shadow and Bone, Bo Bragason known for The Ballad of Renegade Nell, Weruche Opia from I May Destroy You, and Amelia Bullmore of Happy Valley fame, reports the Mirror.
