Post her A-Levels, the future princess embarked on a trip to Florence, Italy to immerse herself in art history before travelling to Chile.Coincidently, it was later discovered that Prince William had attended the very same gap year course in South America just weeks earlier.
In her 2022 book, 'The Palace Papers', author Tina Brown described Kate as having a "Zelig-like ability to keep appearing on the edges of William's life".
