Manchester United have moved a step closer to signing Jadon Sancho. But Ed Woodward could be about to pull off a deal that would save the Red Devils somewhere between £38.4million and £54m over two years, should everything go to plan.
Executive vice-chairman Woodward and transfer negotiator Matt Judge have made a breakthrough in their talks to sign Dortmund forward Sancho this week.
United are prepared to pay a fee north of £60m up front to get their man. Added extras could take the final transfer fee to £105m, although the Red Devils are still looking to drive this down to £80m.
