The duo have competed against each other over the past four seasons in the English Premier League but they first faced each other when the Irishman was in charge of Celtic.
And Rodgers masterminded a pair of stirring Champions League draws with the white-hot 3-3 thriller at Parkhead fondly remembered both in Glasgow and Manchester.
Rodgers has endured a tough season but his Foxes appear to be digging themselves out of trouble and were unlucky not to earn a result against the reigning champions.
