Tireless work from other parts of the Bolton Wanderers business have helped to make a successful January transfer window for the club and plug gaps that were left over from last summer, Ian Evatt has declared.
Wanderers had a successful summer transfer window and signed a total of nine players in total. No transfer fees were parted with, however, even though Wanderers were then able to do so after coming out of an embargo which previously prevented them from doing so. The Wanderers squad has been transformed over the course of the last month to plug gaps which Evatt felt Bolton were short after their summer business.
He believes there was a smart but cautious approach in the summer owing to uncertainty over revenue streams brought about by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as the return of fans and being able to operate the Bolton Whites Hotel as normal.
