It might have been a grey and miserable start across Greater Manchester this morning (May 4), but conditions will dry up - and brighten up - as the day goes on.

The Met Office reports there might be some 'heavy bursts' of rain at first, accompanied by 'fairly extensive low cloud.' But it's set to become 'much brighter' with sunny spells and a northwesterly breeze heading into the afternoon.

Today's maximum temperature will hit 15C. As the evening rolls around, winds will 'fall light,' leaving a dry night with clear spells and 'variable amounts of cloud.'
