Hotel reality TV star Brian Birchall dead at age 67 as family pay tribute

Hotel boss Brian Birchall, who appeared on a fly-on-the reality docuseries, has died aged 67. Brian had been the deputy manager at Liverpool's Britannia Adelphi when the hotel invited cameras in to film its behind-the-scenes goings on for 1997 series Hotel.

His family confirmed that Brian had died at home on May 13, the Liverpool Echo has reported. The obituary notice read: "Brian was a much loved partner to Alan, a dearly loved brother, uncle and cousin. "Described by so many as a popular and charismatic gentleman, with a fabulous sense of humour and a caring nature. "He will be truly missed by all his family and many friends."
