It's a delicacy favoured by the wealthy and on the shelves at high-end shops like Fortnum and Mason. But there are serious calls to ban the importation and sale of foie gras in the UK.
And today comedian Alan Carr is the latest in a line of celebrities and politicians demanding the delicacy is banned from being imported into the UK.
Alan says the production of foie gras, which involves force feeding ducks and geese via a metal tube down their throats, “is simply too much to stomach”.
