Horror fire rips through Shetland hotel as fire crews race to battle blaze

Shetland. Flames ripped through The Moorfield Hotel in Brae at around 12.30am this morning. Shocking images show the length of the building, in the village's Moorfield ring road, obliterated by the fire.

Six fire engines and an Independent Support Vehicle remain on the scene trying to put out the blaze.The Moorfield Hotel was often used by oil and gas workers.It's believed that it was due to close early next month.There are no reports of injuries so far.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman told the Record: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 12.30pm on Monday, July 27 to a fire at The Moorfield Hotel in Brae village in Shetland."Currently six fire appliances and and Independent Support Vehicle are on the.
