The devastating aftermath of a horror car crash which saw a woman pulled from the smoking wreck has been caught on camera.Emergency services were called to the scene on Howdenhall Road in Edinburgh following reports of a one vehicle smash on Wednesday afternoon.
The female driver is understood to have taken unwell behind the wheel before the car 'became airborne' during the collision.We previously told how hero passerby Keith Bradley raced to the woman’s aid as the vehicle filled with smoke.He has since been shown pictures from the scene which show the red car lying on its side.
The underside of the vehicle has been ripped off due to the force of the collision, Edinburgh Live reports. The quick-thinking 59-year-old used a shard of metal from damaged railings to smash the windscreen in a bid to free the woman - slicing his hands open in the process.
He said: "It started pumping the gas into the actual car itself as the exhaust was also ripped off and I instantly thought there could be kids inside.
