A girl suffered a head injury after a crash on a main road in Bolton on Sunday afternoon (June 16). Police and paramedics descended on Wigan Road in Westhoughton after the incident shortly before 3pm.
There are unconfirmed reports that the girl, thought to have been a young child, was struck by a vehicle before emergency services raced to the scene and blocked the road in both directions.
The North West Ambulance Service has since confirmed the girl was rushed to hospital from the scene to be treated for a head injury. An ambulance and advanced paramedics also attended. A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "A girl was taken to hospital to be treated for a head injury.
