Horror accident leaves woman with brain damage as private investigators 'ruin life'

Kirsty Williams-Henry's life was turned upside down on the night of July 21, 2018, when she visited Aberavon Pier with her family and stumbled off the edge, falling four to five metres onto the rocks below.

The then-27-year-old suffered skull fractures and brain damage, spending three weeks in and out of consciousness.Kirsty revealed the effects led her to quit her job at Admiral Insurance, where she was on course to earn up to £110,000 per year, a judge would later find out, reports Wales Online.Now, Kirsty has spoken out about the horror which entailed following the accident, which saw private investigators follow her and a judge brand her a 'breathtakingly dishonest' liar.

Before the accident, Kirsty revealed how happy her life had once been, surrounded by 'awesome friends', a well-paid job and a loving boyfriend.Kirsty, 33, from Port Talbot reflected, telling WalesOnline: "I was very respected in what I did."I was earning enough money that I was going on holiday four or five times a year, travelling to different countries.

I used to go out with my friends on weekends. And then, suddenly, it all stopped because I couldn't do anything."Following her accident, Kirsty claimed £2.3million in damages against the owner of the pier, Associated British Ports (ABP), a giant operator which owns 21 ports across the UK and made £707million last year in revenue.
