Home and Away's Selina star Tempany Deckert - 25 years after soap exit and 'dodging bullet'
ok.co.ukHome and Away star Tempany Deckert has revealed she has no regrets about her soap exit.Tempany, who played Selina Cook, left the show 25 years ago to focus on motherhood.
Selina was a teen tearaway who lived with Irene (Lynne McGranger) for a time. She was never officially her foster child but Irene took her under her wing.
Selina slept with Irene's son Damian (Matt Doran) during the time she was living with Irene. She got pregnant but later miscarried the baby.There were plenty of other memorable moments from Tempany's characters time on the show, including her near-death experience after she was stung by a bee and her kidnap by Saul Bennett.
She eventually got engaged to Steven and they were still together when the character left the show in 2000. Since her exit from the show, Tempany is now also a Young Adult book author.
