Home Alone star Ken Hudson Campbell, 61, has been diagnosed with cancer, with his family launching a fundraiser to try and help cover the huge costs.
The beloved actor, who starred in the iconic Christmas film, revealed his cancer diagnosis and asked fans for financial support as he's set to undergo a 10-hour surgery to remove a cancerous tumour.
Ken needs to have a large portion of his jawbone removed in order to get to his cancerous tumour. He first announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer in October earlier this year after a tumour "elusively grew on the bottom of his mouth and began encroaching on his teeth." Ken, who has also featured in films including Armageddon and Groundhog Dog, appeared as the Santa in 1990’s Home Alone opposite Macaulay Culkin.
In an iconic moment of the film, Kevin McCallister asks him to take a festive message asking for his family to come back as the eight-year-old claims he knows Campbell’s Santa works for 'the real Santa'.
