Warren was determined to track down Liam Donovan to kill him after Liam's determination to seek revenge. Liam's ongoing feud with Mercedes brought him into contact with Warren, which led to their fiery feud.
Liam narrowly missed bumping into Warren at the start of the episode, and so he proceeded to plan to get rid of the character first.
Warren was therefore brutally tricked by Liam again and is left for dead by his terrifying henchmen. Fans flooded to Twitter, going into meltdown over the tense scenes.
