Hollyoaks fans reckon they've figured out a massive new plot twist involving Mercedes McQueen, played by Jennifer Metcalfe. After the soap's bosses hinted at some big surprises this year, viewers believe the latest episode has revealed one of these major storylines.

Mercedes, who recently found out she was pregnant but isn't sure if Felix Westwood (played by Richard Blackwood) or Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) is the father, had a miscarriage scare earlier this month.

However, she confirmed to both men that she was still pregnant, but after being involved in a terrifying car crash, there were further worries for her and her unborn baby's safety.The biggest shock came when Mercedes went for a scan to check on her unborn baby, and the doctors told her she was actually expecting twins, leaving her and her family completely taken aback.
