Holly Willoughby is a 'bag of nerves' after returning to This Morning following her extended summer break.The 42-year-old recently returned to This Morning on Monday 4 September after an extended summer break in Portugal with her family after the Phillip Schofield scandal.

After stepping down from the ITV show, Phillip admitted to an affair with a much younger male colleague and cut ties with the broadcaster.Holly's return to This Morning has been met with mixed reviews, and that shone through at the NTA's when the flagship ITV show missed out on the Best Daytime Programme.

While Holly has been trying to channel a calm persona on This Morning, a source close to the star says that the opposite is true.

The insider told Closer: “It looks like Holly has had a dreamy summer away, but the truth is she’s been a bag of nerves with the weight of the world on her shoulders, thanks to the drama swirling around This Morning.
