Phillip Bryan Schofield (born 1 April 1962) is an English television presenter who works for ITV. He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Holly Willoughby emotional as This Morning announces major move as show to air live from Buckingham Palace

Holly Willoughby appeared emotional as a huge announcement was made at the start of This Morning. The first show of the week kicked off with the usual titles before the presenter and co-host Phillip Schofield appeared live from the studio.

And there was no time to waste as Holly said: "Hello, welcome to Monday's This Morning. It is the start of a brand new week and we have a very exciting announcement...." The camera then panned away from the duo, who were sat in their usual spot at the breakfast bar next to the studio kitchen, to show two royal guards either side of the ITV set's doors.

Upon royal fanfare, Gyles Brandreth appeared, in another novelty jumper, and finally revealed the news. As the hosts grinned, Gyles continued: "You will be taking a look back at the Queen's magnificent 70 years of sovereign with a host of special guests.

We look forward to welcoming you live, 10 o'clock tomorrow morning as the celebrations begin at Buckingham Palace." Holly then screeched: "I'm so excited.
