Holiday Horror ‘It’s A Wonderful Knife’ Starring Jane Widdop, Joel McHale & Justin Long Acquired By RLJE Films & Shudder Ahead Of Beyond Fest Premiere
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: RLJE Films and Shudder have acquired rights for all English-language territories to It’s a Wonderful Knife, a horror film starring Jane Widdop (Yellowjackets), Joel McHale (Community) and Justin Long (Barbarian) that is set to make its world premiere at L.A.’s Beyond Fest October 8th.
Directed by Tyler MacIntyre (Tragedy Girls) from Michael Kennedy’s (Freaky) script, the film will be released only in theaters across the U.S.
on November 10, becoming available for streaming on Shudder at a later date. Billed as It’s a Wonderful Life by way of Scream, the pic centers on Winnie Carruther (Widdop), who saves her town from a psychotic killer on Christmas Eve.
A year later, her life is less than wonderful — but when she wishes she’d never been born, she finds herself in a nightmare parallel universe and discovers that without her, things could be much, much worse.
