Smart employees are being encouraged to get their 2025 annual leave requests in now. This is down to search interest in holidays and 'annual leave' increasing in December and January as workers being planning their leave for the upcoming year.
Researchers at New Millenia have done the sums and say they can show you how to get the most out of your annual leave in 2025.
The payroll experts say if holidays are booked carefully in advance, workers can bag themselves a sweet 64 days off by booking just 29 days of annual leave.
The company say people who work five days a week are entitled to a minimum of 28 days annual leave, but with most workplaces not allowing multiple employees to be absent at the same time, being strategic and booking your annual leave in advance is the best way to enjoy longer breaks.
