Hockey Hall of Famer Clark Gillies Dead - Four-Time Stanley Cup Winner Dies at 67

Hockey star Clark Gillies has sadly passed away. The New York Islanders confirmed the news on Friday night (January 21).

No cause of death was given. Click inside to read more… Clark began his career in the WHL with the Regina Pats, before being drafted by the New York Islanders in 1974.

He enjoyed a phenomenal 14-year career in the NHL, winning four consecutive Stanley Cups from 1980-1983. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002. “The National Hockey League mourns the passing of Clark Gillies, a tower of strength on the ice for the dynastic New York Islanders of the early 1980s and a pillar of the Long Island community ever since,” NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said in a statement.
