Google Street View has thrown up some humorous snaps of people playing the fool, getting into sticky situations or being a little rude since gracing the internet in 2007.
When searching for a pub image for a story, our sister title Edinburgh Live came across this cheeky chappie who decided to ‘flip the bird’ at the Google camera on a city centre street.
The image was captured on Northumberland Street and shows a man with sunglasses and a black t-shirt sticking his middle finger up to the vehicle.
Was he making a statement against Big Tech? Lashing out at the rising surveillance culture of the 21st century? Or was he just taking his opportunity to leave his mark on the internet in the hope that someone would come across the snap?
