Four people have been charged following a high-speed chase on the M8 in West Lothian. Officers were called to reports of a stolen car on the M8 Junction 4A near Heartlands at around 6.50pm on Sunday evening, August 13.Police gave pursuit after the vehicle failed to stop with an air unit being scrambled to the scene.
According to Edinburgh Live, the chase ended after the motor crashed into a barrier on the A803 near Linlithgow.A 20-year-old man, a 15-year-old male youth and two 16-year-old male youths have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
There were no reported injuries.Police Scotland's Air Unit reported that a helicopter assisted officers in tracing one of the individuals.
