Hibs cash injection total revealed as shareholders boost Easter Road coffers with stock buy in

Shareholders at Hibernian have pumped over £2.2 million into the Leith club as a result of their recent stock buy-in - according to the latest documents filed at Companies House.Last week, the Hibees announced that, Leslie Robb, fan investment vehicle Hibernian Supporters Limited and Bydand Sports LLC, owned by the Gordon family, had been given the green light to increase their level of investment in return for newly-issued shares.

And the paperwork made public today shows that they have gained just shy of 26.5 million shares valued at 8.54 pence per share, which in total works out at around £2.26 million.The club - who are currently estimated by board members to be worth £26million - confirmed losses of nearly £3.9million in the last financial year.

However that does not include the cash generated from Hibs participation in the UEFA Conference League qualifier at the start of last season, and the hierarchy are confident that their next batch of figures will show a record turnover, allowing them to remain financially sound.It comes just a few months after American billionaire Bill Foley - who is also the owner of Premier League club AFC Bournemouth - and his Black Knights consortium completed a deal that saw them acquire a 25 per cent stake in the football club in exchange for an investment of £6million.

The family of late chairman Ron Gordon, represented on the board by his son Ian and widow Kit, continue to serve as majority shareholders at Easter Road.As part of their new relationship, Hibs were able to sign Danish midfielder Emiliano Marcondes on loan from Bournemouth while midfielder Nathan Moriah-Welsh swapped the English south coast for Edinburgh on a permanent deal.The latest investment was approved by directors
