Here's Why Lindsay Hartley Is Replacing Kelly Monaco on 'General Hospital' Again, Weeks After Previous Sam McCall Appearance
justjared.comThings might look different on General Hospital this week and there’s an explanation for Lindsay Hartley‘s reappearance as Sam McCall. Kelly Monaco has been playing the beloved character for over 20 years, but it was reported that she is exiting the show later this year after being “blindsided” by producers.
The show films several months in advance and Kelly missed some episodes that are currently airing, so she was temporarily replaced by Lindsay (pictured right).
She has served as a temporary replacement for Sam McCall multiple times in the past as well. Lindsay previously appeared on the show in August 2024 and is now back just weeks later.
So, what led to the quick return?
