Many fans were quite surprised to see Sting pop up on Only Murders in the Building this week on Hulu.

Speaking with E! News, John shared that the character had always been written as a recognizable celebrity, but he never expected to book Sting in the part. “Crazy, right?” he shared. “We all felt, ‘Well good luck to us on that.’ But it was born out of the idea [that] in these kinds of buildings in New York, that can happen.
