Bae Suzy, all nominations underwent strict screening by a panel of 60 evaluators, industry judges and experts, whose specialties range from TV to theatre.Only one Grand Prize (Daesang) is given out at the Baeksang Arts Awards for film, with this year’s going to director Kim Sung-su for his work on historical action film 12.12: The Day.
The same film also bagged the award for Best Film, while Best Director went to director Jung Jae-hyun for his work on psychological thriller him Exhuma.
Meanwhile, for television, the only Grand Prize (Daesang) was awarded to Disney+’s popular series Moving. Screenwriter Kang Full also won Best Screenplay for his work on Moving, while Lee Jung-ha’s debut performance on the same show as Kim Bong-seok landed him the award for Best New Actor.The Baeksang Arts Awards also gave out accolades under a third category for theatre, as well as a final special category of awards presented to two winners for Prizm Popularity Awards in both the male and female categories.
