Mount Road has been closed to allow air access to the site, helping the fire service tackle the pockets of fire that continue to burn.
The aircraft will use water from Redbrook Reservoir to help tackle the blaze, and people have been urged to avoid the moor whilst emergency services work.
Crews were called to the site, near Black Moss reservoir, at around 7pm last night, April 25. The blaze, which had a mile-long fire front at its peak, has been burning ever since, with crews and volunteers working hard to bring the incident under control.
