British politician Oliver Dowden, who serves as the U.K.’s Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, also spoke out about the hit show, and urged Netflix to put a disclaimer before episodes of The Crown to tell viewers that the series is a fictionalization and they should not take the show for absolute truth. “It’s a beautifully produced work of fiction, so as with other TV productions, Netflix should be very clear at the beginning it is just that,” Mr.
