Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton could be returning to the Strictly dance floor this year if the show’s casting directors get their wish for her to return, according to reports.

The star appeared on the Strictly Come Dancing festive special back in 2012, where her fancy footwork and graceful moves wowed the judges and audience alike – with a source close to the show revealing she’s been on their wish list to return since her original debut.

Helen, 38, appeared on the special Christmas edition of Strictly and partnered with Artem Chigvintsev, with the pair performing a Jive to Mariah Carey’s hit All I want for Christmas.

Widely regarded by fans as one of the best jive performances to ever feature on the show in all 19 series so far, many viewers at home have been keen to see the star return for a full series.
