Helen Skelton has admitted to “feeling stupid” after she lost £70,000 of savings in an internet phone scam.The presenter lost the life savings she had set aside for her three children, shared with her estranged husband Richie Myler, after she was called by a scammer unknowingly, in 2019.
Helen, 39, opened up about the incident as she appeared on Lorraine. She said: “I got phoned up by the bank, told something dodgy had been going on with my account.

And it was just a few questions over the phone.” The TV star has partnered with Lloyd Banks to retell her harrowing story and spoke about her fears of her two son’s safety online following the scam.
