Helen McEntee opts for traditional name as she shares first picture of baby boy

Helen McEntee made history as she became the first Cabinet minister to take maternity leave while in office and hence the first to give birth.

Obviously, since giving birth she’s been pretty quiet on social media, but to mark her son’s first week on the planet she shared the first picture of the tot.

The newborn was asleep, strapped in his car seat before leaving the hospital with proud mammy Helen leaning over the sleepy baby.

Not only did we get a glimpse at his face, the Minister also shared the traditional name she and her husband, Paul Hickey, settled on.
