The shock news was shared by Damian Lewis who told how his 'beautiful' wife had died peacefully at home 'surrounded by a wave of love from family and friends.' Carrie Cracknell, a close friend of Helen who also directed her in a stage production of Medea, has now spoken out to say that the actress had been determined to keep her illness secret.
