Heather Small has told The Mirror that she was 'made to feel second class' by a police officer in 2020. The iconic 56-year-old singer, who shot to fame with the group M People, was chatting to The Mirror's Jessica Boulton about Black Lives Matter and the ongoing issue of racism in the UK when she opened up about her own experience.
During the conversation, Heather pointed out that "being of colour can be dangerous in 2021," adding that there is still a long way to go in the battle for equality in this country.
