A heartbroken mum who lost her two-year-old son is now hoping to keep his memory alive by helping other sick children. Nathan Tyreman was born at the start of lockdown in March 2020 with interstitial lung disease, a condition that makes it difficult for the lungs to get enough oxygen.
Despite doctors at Royal Victoria Infirmary "giving it their all" to keep the tot alive, Nathan sadly passed away on May 7 this year, leaving mum Cheryl, dad Daniel and brother Jacob devastated.
The parents are still waiting for the pathologist's report to find out more about Nathan's death, Teesside Live reports. Cheryl, from Yarm, is now working hard to keep her little boy's memory alive by organising a fundraiser for three fantastic children's charities.
The 32-year-old, who runs two businesses, says when she lost her son, she promised herself that "if he was needed up there to do good, then I'm going to do good here in his name." Cheryl said: "Nathan was born on March 25, 2020, two days after the lockdown was announced.
