A heartbroken mum is sharing her story following the tragic death of her teen son in a horror motorcycle smash.The nightmare incident which took McKenna Leigh's life happened just weeks after he had secretly bought a motorbike.Devastated mum Claire Leigh, 41, was unaware that her son had bought a previously stolen Honda 125 for £180 as she had earlier denied him permission to own a bike after he refused to undertake a compulsory basic training course.
In September 2022, Mckenna and a friend secretly bought a bike and hid it in the woods near their family home in Denton, Greater Manchester, reports M.E.N.While riding without a helmet, Mckenna collided with a Vauxhall Vivaro van.
Sadly he suffered a cardiac arrest and severe abdominal injuries, which caused his death.Mckenna's distraught family are now speaking out, hoping that their son's tragic death can save another life.Claire, a mother of two, said: "Mckenna was a typical teenage boy and was obsessed with bikes.
