The family of 17-month-old Bella-Rae Birch who died after being mauled by a dog in Merseyside has said she will 'never be forgotten'.
The tot tragically died of her injuries after being attacked by the dog in her own home on Bidston Avenue in Blackbrook, St Helens yesterday (Monday).
The family had only bought the dog a week before. It was handed over to officers and put down after the shocking incident. Investigations are now ongoing to determine its breed as police try to find its previous owners.
