Taylor Parker, 27, stands accused of cutting open 21-year-old Reagan Hancock's womb and stealing her child, which she later told police was hers.
Mrs Hancock died in the attack at her home in New Boston, Bowie County, Texas, with the baby also later pronounced dead at Oklahoma's McCurtain Memorial Hospital.
The unborn child was taken to hospital after Parker was stopped by a Texas State Trooper, telling them she had delivered the baby on the side of the road, police say.
