A police source has confirmed the body was found without a head, however the death is 'unexplained.' A huge police, fire and ambulance presence immediately moved into the holiday town closing off Bennett Road and Cliff Road after the discovery.Two days after the shocking discovery a large police fire service presence remains in the town.
Bennett Road is closed off at both ends and a Special Ops tent has been erected next to the woods while a forensic team continue their investigation.
Police and the Fire Service Welfare Unit continue to guard the scene. A senior police source confirmed to Devon Live that the remains have been found.
