'Work was carried out' on a tree just days before it fell on a man and killed him, an inquest has heard. Darnell Cordingley, 26, was working as a traffic warden when he was struck by the tree in Osborne Terrace, Sale.
He suffered a 'severe head injury' and died at the scene on October 6, 2022. Darnell's friend, Samuel Smart, who was with him at the time, was also seriously injured in the tragedy.

In a police interview read out in court, Mr Smart said he had gone to meet Darnell after his friend asked him to accompany him on his route.
