The prequel reportedly will center around Aegon and how his sisters/wives, Visenya and Rhaenys, conquered Westeros and became the first Targaryen king — events that take place about 300 years before “Game of Thrones.”“House of the Dragon” follows the Targaryen dynasty, 200 years prior to the “GoT” timeline, during a civil war as King Aegon II ascends to the throne.The series premiered in August 2022 and is currently in production for Season 2.Kit Harington, who portrayed Jon Snow on “GoT” from 2011 until 2019, revealed last year he’s a big fan of the prequel TV show.“I’m really enjoying it,” the “Eternals” star, 36, told the Hollywood Reporter at the time. “My friend Miguel [Sapochnik] showruns it, so I’m really enjoying it.”He also applauded the project for its individuality and connection to the original series.“It’s a weird one to start a whole new show in the same kind of realm and to make it its own thing,” Harrington added.
