Hay fever sufferers have been warned that soaring temperatures after the cold snap could mean a "pollen bomb" hits Britain. The switch from minus numbers to expected highs of 17C this week may see clouds of allergens released into the air, an expert has warned.
Those affected by hay fever are now being told to be "adequately prepared" for the scenario, which comes just days after the nation experienced its coldest night in 25 years.
