Airing for 10 seasons between 2010 and 2020, Hawaii Five-0 is based on a police procedural that ran on CBS from 1968 to 1980.
The show focuses on an elite, specialized police task force that combats major crimes on the islands of Hawaii, including murder, organized crime, drug trafficking, and terrorism.
The team operates with a high level of autonomy, often working directly under the authority of the Governor of Hawaii. O’Loughlin’s McGarrett is a former Navy SEAL who is appointed to lead the Five-0 task force.
