Glasgow. The thug threatened staff at a Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Shawlands with a 'bladed weapon' yesterday at around 1.30pm during the 'terrifying' ordeal.
Police raced to the scene on Kilmarnock Road as the thief made off with a three figure sum of cash before the red dye blew up in his face.
The suspect then fled along Mount Stuart Street, and then towards Queens Park.He is described as white Scottish, between 30 and 40 years of age and around 5ft 9.He was wearing a black jacket with a purple t-shirt underneath, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.He also had on a black tammy hat and facemask.Detective Sergeant Neil Guy from Govan Police Station said: “This has been a terrifying experience for the bank staff and thankfully.
