Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon has revealed that homesick Hatem Elhamed is close to sealing an exit after struggling to adapt to life in Scotland.The right-back has played just 17 minutes since the defeat to Milan at San Siro in December.And speaking to BBC Scotland his manager announced that a deal is close that will see the defender return to his homeland.Lennon revealed: "Hatem El Hamed might be going back to Israel."A fee's been agreed.

I'm not sure it's been finalised yet."He's really struggled with life here, his wife and young son are back in Israel and he's been through a really rough time of it mentally rather than anything else."So I think for his wellbeing he really wanted to go home, so that deal's going to come to fruition, I think, either today.
