Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Prince Harry wants to shake off a public perception of being a "moaner" with his new book, and reportedly feels that he has been a "victim", according to former royal aide.

The 37 year old prince, who is the son of heir to the throne Prince Charles and the beloved late Princess Diana, has been the subject of intense scrutiny since the day he was born, but perhaps never more so than since he introduced girlfriend Meghan Markle to the world in 2017, and later married her in 2018.

The pair sensationally announced they were stepping down from their roles as senior members of the royal family in January 2020, going on to live in California and sitting down for an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, but Prince Harry is said to want to shake off any negative public perception of him with his highly-anticipated memoir, which is set to hit stores later this year.

His late mother Diana’s former private voice and presence coach Stewart Pearce, author of the book Diana: The Voice of Change, has spoken exclusively to OK!
